Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt
COURSE SUMMARY
Top perpetrators from an organization’s Black Belt population
are prime candidates to become a Master Black Belt. These successful
candidates will play a major role in shaping the organization’s
outlook. A “high promising” employee is an ideal candidate
for this program where he/she is believed to have the potential
to yield major development in the organization, perhaps to a senior
officer stratum. Additionally, Master Black Belt candidates must
be highly valued by their peers, honored by other employees, and
respected by customers, leaders, and subordinates. The best Master
Black Belts possess hands-on leadership competence with sharp
business acumen. Part and parcel of their responsibilities are
to equip themselves with the latest Six Sigma knowledge and application
with up to date practices in order to efficiently teach and mentor
Black Belts in the community. With this in mind, the organization
will benefit from the most recent interpretation and execution
customized to the organization’s needs and use. Furthermore,
Master Black Belts are in charge of generating Six Sigma infrastructure
principle for respective division and support in identification,
selection, and review of Black Belt projects.
Individuals in the Master Black Belt course will achieve an in
depth perceptive of the Six Sigma, Lean and Change Management
tool set and be able to solve intricate problems more efficiently.
They will learn how to supervise a classroom, cultivate a topical
module, edify Six Sigma materials, and guide Black Belts. The
course follows a rigorous process that further develops the Master
Black Belt’s knowledge base, and reinforces presentation
and mentoring skills through unswerving and immediate feedback.
Lean Applied certification of Master Black Belts who complete
this training is offered as an option, where appropriate. Certification
requires completion of a Master Black Belt-level project (in scope
and complexity) and demonstrated capabilities as a Black Belt
trainer. Coaching and mentoring support, including observation
of candidate training delivery, will be designed and coordinated
on a case-by-case basis and priced accordingly.
Candidates Training may select minimum of four courses for Master
Black Belt Certification as their primary course:
* Basic TRIZ Training (3 Days)
* Change for Leadership Course (3 Days)
* Lean Concept (3 Days)
* Six Sigma Train the Trainer (3 Days)
* Product Design for Six Sigma (4 Days)
* Advance Statistical Analysis (3 Days)
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
* Complete and submit two Six Sigma projects to LEAN APPLIED's
Master Black Belt Certification Committee
* Submission of a paper to a periodical or delivery at a public
seminar
* A score of 85% or better on LEAN APPLIED's Six Sigma Master
Black Belt Examination
* Instruct or Co-instruct min up to 20 hours (dependent on prior
Six Sigma instructional experience)
* Master Black Belt candidates must complete Black Belt certification
preceding to entering LEAN APPLIED's Master Black Belt Program
* Individuals must bring a Windows-based laptop computer with
a CD-ROM and have access to that laptop throughout the training.
* Individuals must have Minitab v.14/15 loaded on their laptop
prior to attending training.
* Participants must be committed to attend minimum of four courses
of training provided by Lean Applied
* Individuals must be Black Belts proficient in the core Six Sigma
and Lean tools.
* Individuals must have strong facilitation, presentation, oral,
and written communication skills (prior teaching experience a
plus)
* Individuals must be currently employed.
* Individuals must not represent any organization that is a potential
competitor of LEAN APPLIED or present a conflict of interest in
any way.
The requirement standards are challenging, thus it will arm Master
Black Belt with all the necessary skills to perform any of the
four primary roles of a Teacher, Coach, Project Worker and Champion.
