COURSE CONTENT

Green Belts are one of the critical key elements of every Lean Six Sigma implementation. As part time ambassador (typically ranges from 20% to 50% of the current workload), they also lead project teams in their specific functional field, support Black Belt functions, and act as cultural change agents within the organization. Green Belt is focused on "closing the value gaps" that exist within their business and operations area. In addition to that Green Belts act as project supporters, high impact Six Sigma project. Green Belts are accountable for the waste identification; maximize the process speed, root cause identification, variation reduction, and elimination of defect drivers.

DURATION

A 10 - day program spread over two months. The class follows a 3-days Define & Measure Phase, 3-days Analyze Phase, 2-days Improve Phase and 2-days Control Phase training days for two months. Participants will learn the DMAIC methodology - Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control discipline to problem solving approach. Thus, provides financial impact to the organizations. The training strategy follows the Train-Plan-Apply-Review cycle. After each training phases, the participants return to their work environments and apply the tools and methodologies learned in training on their projects. This training program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge, techniques, and tools necessary to successfully fulfill the Six Sigma Green Belt function.

Participants will be able to develop into certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belts with a thorough understanding of the following:

* Spread the Lean Six Sigma culture by practicing the methodology in their day-to-day job activities
* Support Black Belts and Master Black Belts high impacts Lean Six Sigma projects
* Apply the proven tools and techniques of Six Sigma to eliminate non-value add process steps, reduce variations and defect drivers
* The communication skills to interact with all levels within the organization
* Successfully complete small scale improvement projects in their respective areas
